Derby Reach Engagement

Lisa and Daryl are getting married in Jamaica in just over a month!!! Yes, I did say Jamaica .. my level of excitement is through the roof, haha. But for now, I’ll be patient and focus on their romantic engagement photography at Derby Reach Regional Park. Funny, I met Jade and Peter from the previous post and their destination wedding in Tofino through my friend Rhonda and I happen to have met Lisa and Daryl the same way! Both Lisa and Jade were at Rhonda’s wedding in Mexico and I think it’s sooo awesome that I am also photographing their weddings as well! My absolute favourite weddings to shoot are those referred by previous clients or friends as there is already a level of intimacy not immediately found with strangers … having said that, give me a group of strangers and I’ll befriend them so quickly haha. I love meeting people!

So .. did I mention that Lisa and Daryl are having a destination wedding in Jamaica in just over a month and that I’m am crazy excited? Haha .. destination weddings are one of my favourites to shoot! They’re so exciting and everyone’s so relaxed and so happy! Add the sunshine and few days of relaxation I get to have as well make me a happy girl!

For their engagement photos, Lisa and Daryl wanted something different than the sunshine and beach and ocean and so they chose Derby Reach Regional Park. What’s not to love? Trees, farmland, a barn, the river, the rocky beach and mountain views all in one place! We got so lucky with the weather during their photos and chose to do the photos later in the day to have stunning light .. and we did!
