Ahhh, the style. The thing that sets you apart from other photographers but also the thing that you&#8217;re bound to have in common with at least hundreds of other wedding photographers, perhaps even other wedding photographers in Vancouver! That&#8217;s one thing I love about photography \u2026 there are so many different shooting styles\u00a0and types of photography that there&#8217;s always going to be someone interested in all styles \u2026 it&#8217;s a beautiful thing, doing something that appeals to all sorts of interests. :)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>So, back to my wedding photography style. It took me a couple of years of hard work and shooting 100+ weddings as a Vancouver wedding photographer to really narrow it down. It&#8217;s amazing, looking back, how much my style has changed and in many ways, how much cleaner\u00a0it has become .. and how much more romantic. I love using the word clean to describe a wedding photograph .. or any photograph really .. I&#8217;ve always loved clean, elegant, wildly romantic\u00a0photos that aren&#8217;t burdened by a lot of clutter. It took me a while to learn how to do that effectively but as we know, the best way to learn is to do!\u00a0<span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">I especially think a wedding photography style should be clean as the focus is so often on the emotion IN the photo .. and the emotion can often be ignored if it is surrounded by so many other distractions.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"pp-insert-all aligncenter\" title=\"Vancouver Wedding Photographer - Roxana Albusel Photography - My Shooting Style - 01\" src=\"http:\/\/www.roxanaphotography.com\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/26-12223-post\/Vancouver-Wedding-Photographer-Roxana-Albusel-Photography-My-Shooting-Style-01.jpg\" alt=\"Images depicting Vancouver wedding photography style\" width=\"1278\" height=\"1024\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"pp-insert-all aligncenter\" title=\"Vancouver Wedding Photographer - Roxana Albusel Photography - My Shooting Style - 02\" src=\"http:\/\/www.roxanaphotography.com\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/26-12223-post\/Vancouver-Wedding-Photographer-Roxana-Albusel-Photography-My-Shooting-Style-02.jpg\" alt=\"Images depicting Vancouver wedding photography style\" width=\"1500\" height=\"934\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The adjectives I would use to describe my wedding photography style are<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> soft, clean, vibrant, candid, creative, unobtrusive<\/span>. I would definitely say I shoot in a photojournalistic way but I also love incorporating\u00a0a bit of a\u00a0romantic editorial style when I get a chance. I definitely love photographing the day as it occurs, but I also love putting my own creative spin on it. The first kiss, the getting ready shots, the congratulatory hugs, the laughter, the speeches, the moments with best friends, the spontaneous candid and sometimes goofy moments &#8230; I will capture them all and I will find a way to do it creatively when given the opportunity!<\/p>\n<p>I am not going to pose you a lot, but I will point out if something doesn&#8217;t look right. You will receive as little or as much direction as you want. I let you be yourself but I will be there to\u00a0guide you\u00a0if and when you need it. I won&#8217;t take too many photos of both of you looking right at the camera &#8211; or what I call &#8220;touristy photos&#8221; &#8211; but I will take a lot of you looking at each other or interacting with family and friends. There is so much energy in your wedding day, so much love, so much vibrant emotion, that I think the primary focus should always be on you. On your eyes. On what they say.\u00a0I love emotion. And what I truly have a knack for in this wonderful business is getting you to be comfortable \u00a0in front of the camera, to show me this beautiful emotion that you feel on your wedding day.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"pp-insert-all aligncenter\" title=\"Vancouver Wedding Photographer - Roxana Albusel Photography - My Shooting Style - 03\" src=\"http:\/\/www.roxanaphotography.com\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/26-12223-post\/Vancouver-Wedding-Photographer-Roxana-Albusel-Photography-My-Shooting-Style-03.jpg\" alt=\"Images depicting Vancouver wedding photography style\" width=\"1023\" height=\"1024\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"pp-insert-all aligncenter\" title=\"Vancouver Wedding Photographer - Roxana Albusel Photography - My Shooting Style - 04\" src=\"http:\/\/www.roxanaphotography.com\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/26-12223-post\/Vancouver-Wedding-Photographer-Roxana-Albusel-Photography-My-Shooting-Style-04.jpg\" alt=\"Images depicting Vancouver wedding photography style\" width=\"1500\" height=\"527\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"pp-insert-all aligncenter\" title=\"Vancouver Wedding Photographer - Roxana Albusel Photography - My Shooting Style - 06\" src=\"http:\/\/www.roxanaphotography.com\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/26-12223-post\/Vancouver-Wedding-Photographer-Roxana-Albusel-Photography-My-Shooting-Style-06.jpg\" alt=\"Images depicting Vancouver wedding photography style\" width=\"1500\" height=\"1016\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I also love reflections, shooting through things, shadows, sun spots, tall grass (every one of my brides knows how much I love tall grass), telling really bad jokes to make you laugh (whether it&#8217;s at me or the joke doesn&#8217;t really matter as long as you&#8217;re happy and relaxed) and interesting compositions.\u00a0And there is always laughter in my photos .. a lot of joyful laughter.<\/p>\n<p>I also adore shooting details. Whether it&#8217;s eyes, hands, lips, dresses, shoes, rings, food, decor, you name it, if it stands out in any way, I&#8217;ll shoot it.<\/p>\n<p>Oh and I love love love black and white. But not for every photo. There&#8217;s a time and a place for everything and same goes for black and white. Some photos call for colour, some call for black and white, some both. It&#8217;s a visual decision that is different for every wedding. I believe each couple is unique and therefore each wedding will be creative in its own way. And I cannot wait to arrive at every single one!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"pp-insert-all aligncenter\" title=\"Vancouver Wedding Photographer - Roxana Albusel Photography - My Shooting Style - 07\" src=\"http:\/\/www.roxanaphotography.com\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/26-12223-post\/Vancouver-Wedding-Photographer-Roxana-Albusel-Photography-My-Shooting-Style-07.jpg\" alt=\"Images depicting Vancouver wedding photography style\" width=\"1023\" height=\"1024\" \/>Finally, I love fun photos. If couples want to jump, run, twirl, dance, sing, etc., I&#8217;m all for it. If they&#8217;re not, that works too. At the end of the day, it&#8217;s about the your\u00a0wishes and if our styles click from the get go, then we will have some fun together. This, I promise :) I will say time and time again what is MOST important is that you are comfortable with your choice of a Vancouver wedding photographer!
