Lavender & Lace DIY Romance

Lavender & Lace DIY Romance

This gorgeous love story took place at the University Golf Club amidst family and friends and a gorgeous summer day. The whole day felt so incredibly relaxed and full of love, it most certainly did not feel like work. Mary Ann and Dominic are two of the warmest, most welcoming people I have ever photographed. I love clicking with clients and feeling as if I’m welcomed not only into their day, but into their life, for the duration of the time that we spend and work together. Overall, it was such an intimate, peaceful and stunning day and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to capture these memories for Mary Ann and Dominic for years to come. Mary Ann and Dominic met at work and love quickly followed. When Dominic proposed, he did so in front of Mary Ann’s family and friends, surprising her by asking her to marry him in her native language, Tagalog. Their wedding day was full of romance and plenty of DIY charm. The bride did all of the printed materials herself as well as the flower arrangements (with flowers from a local farm). I love lavender and lace and the bride managed to incorporate both in such a simple beautiful, and incredibly romantic way. The setup looked and smelled amazing! I love the couple’s love for each other and family and friends. They have so much fun together and I think that shows in the many photographs filled with laughter. I also enjoyed being present when the bride was surprised with a video of family and friends in the Philippines wishing her well – the happiness on her face was radiant and such a beautiful moment to photograph!

Congratulations, you two, hope to capture many more beautiful memories for you two! xo
