A few weeks ago, a photographer friend posted a referral for a wedding in Tulum, Mexico, to take place only a few weeks later! (Thank you, Stefania Bowler!) Somehow, the universe aligned for me to be on the computer at the right time AND have a pretty free schedule, so after a few emails with the travel agent and the couple,  two weeks later I’m off to photograph a wedding in the striking Mayan Riviera, Mexico! (I love love love love the colours in this part of the world, so much beauty to photograph and character galore!). I am also so excited to do more and more destination weddings – one for 2016 is already booked – and I can’t wait to travel more and more capturing lovely couples’ special day. One of my dreams is an Italy wedding, so you know, I’m putting it out there ;)

I met Tamiza and Blake for coffee before we went – it’s very important for me to have a good relationship with my clients so I always insist they meet me first to make sure they’re happy and comfortable putting their trust in me – and after going over some key details, we all figured we’d have a great time.

But seriously though, this all came together in less than two weeks, so exciting!

I went to Mexico on March 28th, 2015 and decided to stay a whole week to get a bit of vacation in before the start of another busy season as a wedding photographer in beautiful Vancouver. The wedding took place at the beautiful Grand Oasis Tulum with a rustic gazebo and striking white buildings that look so gorgeous in photos and so beautiful against the blue sky! Throw in a very photogenic rocky beach and one of the most photogenic couples I have yet to meet and I was a happy girl. The wedding was beautiful, the colours and theme very romantic (champagne and gold) and a very intimate group of family and friends that were all incredibly welcoming and warm (they invited me to every event they had!). Also, the CUTEST flower girls yet. Hands down.
